Martin (Marty) Philp has been solving problems for businesses for more than 30 years. He’s delivered real results as a corporate executive and president of a multinational corporation, the managing director of a private equity firm, and a successful strategic business consultant working with clients ranging from start-ups to large corporations.

Throughout his corporate career, Marty specialized in business transformations, strategic development and cultural shifts within global organizations. His roles have included sales, operational and financial responsibility in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. As the co-founder of a private equity firm, Marty has brokered a number of private business acquisitions and divestitures with a track record for creating value for shareholders and investors.
His passion for creative problem solving lead him to consulting and his current role as founder of NEXT Advisory Partners. Clients have sought him out to help them with restructuring, turnarounds, strategic direction, new product development, business sales and mentoring in both an advisory and hands-on capacity. He has served on the board of directors of Ingersoll-Rand Canada and its various subsidiaries, and acts as an advisory board member for a number of privately-held small businesses and charitable organizations.
Marty sits on the Goodman School of Business Dean’s Advisory Council, is Vice Chair of the Residency Advisory Committee for BioLinc, the business incubator operated by the Goodman School of Business at Brock University, and has served as Honourary President of the Business Students Association.
Marty received his Masters of Arts and a Bachelor of Administration with Honours from Brock. He is an honourary inductee into the Goodman Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma and was recently named the Goodman Distinguished Graduate.
